Vulcan County represents a region of opportunity. Its northern border is only a half hour drive south and east of Calgary and it’s southern border is forty minutes north of Lethbridge. Covering an area of 546,772 hectares (2,400 Sq Miles), the County of Vulcan encompasses the Town of Vulcan and the five villages of Arrowwood, Carmangay, Champion, Lomond and Milo. It has eight active hamlets and a combined population of over 6300. As you travel from one end to the other, the landscape will change from flatlands to rolling hills, to refreshing valleys, deep blue lakes, mature trees and prairie grass. The economy is rich and diverse, historically based on agriculture and now diversified with much oil and gas activity, a rapidly growing tourism industry, and with residential and resort development booming due to recognition by urbanites of the high quality of life, low cost of living, and abundance of opportunity within Vulcan County.

The Village of Arrowwood, Alberta:
Located on Highway #547, 17 km (10.56 miles) south of Highway #1 (at Gleichen AB); or, about 50 km (31 miles) north of Vulcan on Highways #24 to #547 east; or 100 km (62.1 miles) east of Calgary on Highways 22X & 901, south on #547; or 120 km (75 miles) south of Drumheller.
The Village of Carmangay, Alberta:
Located on Highway #23, 35 km (22 miles) south of the Town of Vulcan; or 60 km (37miles) north of Lethbridge; or 160 km (99 miles) southeast of Calgary.
The Village of Champion, Alberta:
Located on Highway #23, approximately 20 km (12 miles) south of the Town of Vulcan; or 75 km (47 miles) north of Lethbridge; or 140 km (87 miles) south of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The Village of Lomond, Alberta:
