WHAT IS VULCON?

VulCON is an annual convention that takes place in Vulcan, Alberta, during the last weekend in July. Each year we host a variety of celebrities who have acted in, written, and otherwise taken part in bringing the iconic Star Trek Franchise to life! There is a dinner and dance attended by Humanoids, Ferengi, Klingons, and Vulcans alike! Want to dance the night away in your favourite cosplay costume? Then VulCON is for you!
Now you may be wondering, what else happens during VulCON? Why should I plan my shore leave here and not on Risa? There is a meet and greet Friday night with our lineup of Star Trek celebrity guests! Photo ops, Q&A sessions, autographs, two t-shirt contests, a cosplay parade and competition, a silent auction and a Trekkie Brekkie on Sunday brings Star Trek fans together on this awesome weekend!
So, humanoid, will we see you at VulCON? Yes? We knew you were an intelligent one. After all, it's only logical that you would want to come.

Michelle Hurd
Michelle Hurd is best known to Star Trek fans as Raffi Musiker, the brilliant, complex former Starfleet Intelligence officer in Star Trek: Picard. Since her debut in 2020, Hurd’s portrayal of Raffi has become a standout in the Trek universe, earning praise for its emotional depth, resilience, and authenticity.
Beyond Star Trek, Michelle Hurd has built an impressive career across television, film, and theatre. She starred as Detective Monique Jeffries on Law & Order: SVU, appeared in fan-favourite series such as Blindspot, Daredevil, Ash vs Evil Dead, and Gossip Girl, and has performed extensively on Broadway and in regional theatre.
With a career spanning decades and genres, Michelle brings both sci-fi legacy and dramatic powerhouse energy to VulCON 33. Fans won’t want to miss the chance to meet this incredible performer in person in Vulcan.
